Tooth Colored Fillings

When a cavity forms, the decayed portion of the tooth needs to be removed and the space restored before the decay spreads further. At Mint Hill Smiles we use tooth-colored composite resin fillings that blend seamlessly with your natural tooth and bond directly to the enamel. That means we preserve more of your healthy tooth structure than older filling techniques required. We do not place silver amalgam fillings.

The most important thing about fillings is catching the cavity early. A small cavity means a small filling, less chair time, better longevity, and a lower cost. Every cleaning appointment at MHS includes a thorough exam and AI-assisted X-ray review specifically to catch things before they grow into bigger problems.

Porcelain Crowns and Bridges

A crown is needed when a tooth has too much damage for a filling to adequately restore and protect it. Teeth with large cavities, cracks, fractures, or teeth that have had root canal therapy often need crowns. At Mint Hill Smiles we mill porcelain crowns in-house using our digital scanner and milling machine, which means we complete the entire crown process in a single appointment. No temporary crown. No second visit two to three weeks later. You leave the same day with your permanent, custom porcelain crown placed and adjusted.

For patients missing one or more teeth with healthy teeth on either side, a bridge is another option we offer. We will walk you through both options clearly so you understand what is involved and what makes sense for your specific situation.

Gum Disease Treatment

Nearly 40% of American adults have gum disease and most of them do not know it. Gum disease is painless in the early stages, which is exactly what makes it dangerous. By the time patients notice something is wrong, the disease has often been progressing quietly for years. Dentures and Partials

When teeth are missing, the options for replacing them range from conventional removable dentures to implant-supported solutions that are dramatically more stable and functional. We offer both at Mint Hill Smiles and we take the time to explain the differences, including the limitations of a conventional denture, so every patient can make a fully informed decision.

A conventional denture provides approximately 10% of the chewing capacity of natural teeth and requires a significant adjustment period. An implant-supported denture changes that picture completely. We will always have a direct conversation about what will actually serve you best before you commit to anything.

Dental Implants

A dental implant is the closest thing to a natural tooth that modern dentistry can provide. A post is placed to replace the root of your missing tooth. It integrates with the bone over a healing period and then supports a custom crown on top. Implants function like natural teeth, preserve the jawbone at the site, and do not require the neighboring teeth to be altered the way a bridge does.

At Mint Hill Smiles we plan every implant case using CBCT cone beam 3D imaging so we have a complete picture of bone volume and anatomy before placing anything. We use 3D printed surgical guides for precise positioning and we handle the full process from placement through crown delivery in our office.
