Mint Hill Smiles is a women-owned dental practice founded by Dr. Shalini Kamodia and Dr. Stephanie Marvelli, two best friends who met on the first day of dental school and built a practice from the ground up around a single idea: dentistry does not have to feel the way most people expect it to.

We have four doctors, a full hygiene and assistant team, dedicated treatment coordinators, and an insurance team that verifies your benefits before you arrive. We have over 800 five-star Google reviews. We have taken mission trips to the Dominican Republic to provide free dental care to communities with little access, and we have a goal to donate 5,000 free smiles to our community by 2030.

We mill same-day porcelain crowns in-house, so there is no temporary crown, no second visit, and no waiting weeks for a lab. We use CBCT cone beam 3D imaging for implant planning and airway evaluation. Our AI-assisted X-ray software analyzes every set of images before the doctor reviews them with you. We print orthodontic models and make retainers in-house on our 3D printers, and we take digital intraoral scans instead of traditional impressions for virtually every procedure that used to require that thick goopy material.

Insurance, Membership, and Financial Options

We accept most major dental insurance plans including Delta Dental, Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, and most Humana plans. Our remote insurance team verifies your benefits before your appointment so you know exactly what to expect financially before you commit to any treatment.

For patients from Southeast Charlotte without dental insurance, our Brush365 in-house membership plan covers two cleanings, two exams, and all necessary X-rays annually for a low monthly investment. Brush365 members also receive 15% off any additional treatment we recommend.

We also offer financing through CareCredit, Alpheon, and Proceed Finance for larger treatment plans, which lets most patients spread the cost of restorative or cosmetic work over manageable monthly payments.
